PENN KSA

“Quarantine has been an interesting experience for me because for the first time in a while I don’t always have something I need to do or that has to be done. For example, I swam all throughout high school which was really fun but also took up a lot of time and kept me from doing other activities.
Just recently I’ve been trying to get into video editing more. I actually finally got to make a clip on youtube of my trip to Korea this past summer. I dedicated it to my best friends who went on the trip with me and it was a really nice way to reminisce and spark dialogue. Going to Korea inspired me to also become more in touch with my culture as well which is partially why I decided to join KSA. Video editing has always been something I’ve been interested in. I think it goes along with bringing a community together, especially ones that spread positivity and joy.
Social distancing and leaving school has been hard but at the same time having this space for myself and a break from Penn’s busyness has helped me realize that not everything has to have an end goal. Taking a step back from the mentality of constantly pushing yourself and having a tight schedule has been relaxing. I can now do things I otherwise wouldn’t have found the time to do.”
